ladyfinger, bhindi masala recipe for breakfast

Friends you must have eaten many types of dish which is made with okra(Bhindi) but have you ever eaten bhindi as an evening snacks. Yes we can also eat bhindi as a snacks and trust me it is so crispy and crunch while eating. We can also make it as a side dish with rice, Daal and paratha. Kids loves to eat it with catch up.Bhindi is one of the most famous vegetable in India and bhindi is known by different names in different state like Bendikai in Kennada,Ram Taroi in Vanaras, Ramkali in Chhattisgarh, khyad phalshak in Bengal, bhendi in Marathi, bheenda in Gujarat,Ventakya in Malaysia and Vamiya in Farsi.


BENIFITS OF BHINDI:-

Bhindi has many benefits as follows. Okra gets only 30% calories, it is also a good source of vitamin C and  magnesium.It is beneficial to use bhindi in asthma and this is also enhances our immunity power. It is said to be good in sugar disease. It is beneficial in reducing cholesterol.

INGREDIENTS OF MAKING KURKURI(CRISPY) BHINDI:-


  • BHINDI (LADY FINGER) -250gm
  • FRESH GREEN CHILLIES -5 to 6
  • LUMPS OF ONION - 2 to 3
  • GRAM FLOUR- 3big tsp
  • SEMOLINA - 3big tsp
  • CORN FLOUR - 1big tsp
  • RED CHILLI POWER- 1tsp
  • WHITE SALT - As per taste
  • CUMIN POWDER- 1/2 tsp
  • HING POWDER - 1 pinch
  • CHAAT MASALA- 1tsp
  • TURMERIC POWDER- 1tsp
  • GARLIC POWDER 1tsp(Optional) 
  • GARAM MASALA - 1/2tsp
  • OIL FOF FRYING



HOW TO MAKE KURKURI BHINDI(CRISPY LADYFINGER) WITH STEPS BY STEPS:-


STEP. 1

Firstly take 250 gm of ladyfinger, rinse it well with normal water then wipe it dry with cotton cloth.


STEP. 2

Once pat dry well, Take a knife, remove the crown and the base of ladyfingers and slice them vertically in to 4 pieces. remove off the seeds properly. 


NOTE:👉 Their seeds should be thoroughly cleaned otherwise bhindi will not be crispy and crunchy. 


STEP. 3

After cutting the lady fingers, cut the lumps of onion and green chillies as well. 


STEP. 3

For marinating the lady finger.take a bowl , add chopped onions, fresh green chillies and chopped lady finger to the bowl. 


STEP. 4

Once adding the veggies to the bowl, Add 3 big tbsp of gram flour, 3big tbsp of semolina, 1big tbsp of corn flour, 1 tbsp of red chilli powder, 1/2 tbsp of garam masala, white salt to taste,  1/2tbsp of cumin powder, 1 pinch of hing powder, 1 tbsp of chaat masala, 1 tbsp of turmeric powder, 1/2 tbsp of cumin powder. 


STEP. 5

After adding all dry ingredients and spices, Gently Mix it and make sure that All ingredients are coated properly. 


STEP. 6

Now marinate it for about 10 to 15 minutes and make sure that spices are absorbed completely. 


NOTE:👉 Don't add the water while marinating the lady finger, salt helps to release water. 


STEP. 7

For frying, Pour the oil to the pan and let it hot, once oil get heated up, add the first batch of marinated ladyfinger and gently fry them on low to medium flame. Fry the lady finger until it turns crispy. 


STEP. 8

When the lady finger turns golden then remove the lady finger (bhindi )with slotted spoon from the pan and strain the excess oil. 


STEP. 9

Finally our crispy and crunchy lady finger (kurkuri bhindi) are ready to eat as an evening snack with a cup of tea. most of people loves to make it as a side dish with the combination of rice, roti, paratha. 


SERVING SUGGESTIONS:-

You can sprinkle 1 pinch of Garlic powder or chaat masala to give them extra flavour.
